Ultimate V2 bend / shape
Ultimate V2 is Mercian's aggressive specialist low-bow route for drag flicking, aerials, lifting and 3D play. On the CK95SC, the current specification gives a 24.5 mm maximum bend at 200 mm from the head, with a thinner toe and sculpted head to support ball control and lifting.
Direct / Powerful response
The CK95SC sits in Mercian's Direct / Powerful response band. Its construction uses high-specification Japanese Toray carbon, Tungsten Carbide Diffused Kevlar and Mercian's CK95SC Solid Core: a vacuum-filled polymeric core developed to manage power, weight, balance, rigidity and feel.
Construction and control
- Solid Core technology: supports rigidity and feel while managing weight and balance.
- Tungsten Carbide Diffused Kevlar: supports strength and durability.
- Nano-polymer resin: strengthens laminate bonding and helps reduce delamination risk.
- High-friction face finish: increases contact friction and adds damping at impact.
- Piezo-electric fibres: provide additional vibration damping.
When another current option may suit better
If you want to keep Ultimate V2 but prefer a less direct response, compare the CKF35 Ultimate V2 or CKF75 Ultimate V2. If you want Direct / Powerful Ultimate V2 without the Solid Core construction, compare the CKF90 Ultimate V2 and CK95 Ultimate V2. These are different requirements, not upgrades and downgrades.
