CF95 Xtreme — Xtreme shape with a Direct / Powerful response

Choose this stick when Xtreme shape solves a real skill requirement and you want Mercian's most direct response band. The shape and response solve different questions: Xtreme shapes how the stick helps specialist skills; Direct / Powerful describes how the finished construction responds.

Xtreme bend / shape

Xtreme is Mercian's specialist route for reverse-stick lifting and 3D play. On the CF95 Xtreme, the current specification gives a 24.5 mm maximum bend at 200 mm from the head, a 2 mm concave shaft profile and a 4-degree face twist. The thinner toe and reduced backhand profile are there to support specialist manipulation rather than to create a universal upgrade.

Direct / Powerful response

The CF95 Xtreme sits in Mercian's Direct / Powerful response band. Its construction uses 95% carbon around a fibreglass micro-skeleton, with a Quad Carbon Sleeve to support strength and energy transfer.

Construction, touch and control

• Quad Carbon Sleeve: supports 360-degree strength and energy transfer around the shaft.
• Nano-polymer resin: strengthens laminate bonding and helps reduce delamination risk.
• Tungsten Carbide Diffused Kevlar: supports durability.
• High-friction face finish: increases contact friction and adds damping.
• Piezo-electric fibres: provide additional vibration management.

These features help explain the finished stick. They do not replace the more important bend and response decisions.
