Choose this stick when Ultimate V2 shape solves a real skill requirement and you want a very direct, high-carbon construction. The bend provides the specialist shape; Direct / Powerful describes where the finished stick sits in Mercian's current response range.
Ultimate V2 bend / shape
Ultimate V2 is Mercian's aggressive specialist low-bow route for drag flicking, aerials, lifting and 3D play. The CKF90 specification gives a 24.5 mm maximum bend at 200 mm from the head.
Direct / Powerful response
The CKF90 Ultimate V2 sits in Mercian's Direct / Powerful response band. Its current construction uses 90% carbon around a fibreglass micro-skeleton, combining high stiffness with the rest of the laminate package rather than using carbon percentage as a player-level score.
Construction, touch and control
- High-friction face finish: increases contact friction and adds damping.
- Nano-polymer resin: strengthens laminate bonding and helps reduce delamination risk.
- Kevlar reinforcement: supports durability.
- Tungsten Carbide Diffused Kevlar: adds further reinforcement.
- Piezo-electric fibres: provide vibration management.
These features help explain the finished stick. They do not replace the more important bend and response decisions.
