CF15 — All-round shape with a Softer response
The Genesis CF15 is for players who want an easy, forgiving Softer response in Mercian's current all-round route.
Why choose the CF15?
Choose this stick when touch, forgiveness and core all-round skills matter more than maximum stiffness. It is intended to make the stick easy to use rather than to treat lower carbon as a lower level of quality.
All-round bend / shape
The CF15 is designed for Mercian's broad all-round route rather than a specialist Xtreme, Ultimate V2 or DSH shape, keeping the shape versatile for core receiving, carrying, passing and striking.
Softer response
The CF15 sits in Mercian's Softer response band. Its construction combines 15% carbon with a fibreglass-rich laminate, keeping the response forgiving while adding some stiffness.
Construction, touch and control
- M-Gel in the handle: helps absorb vibration from power skills.
- High-friction face finish: increases contact friction and adds damping.
- Nano-polymer resin: supports laminate bonding.
These features help explain the finished stick. They do not replace the more important bend and response decisions.
When another current option may suit better
Within Softer, compare CF5, FG100, W1 or W1+ for different construction choices. If you want a slightly firmer all-round response, compare CF25 in Softer / Balanced.
Sizes
The current product is configured in 34", 35", 36.5" and 37.5". Live availability is shown above.

Outdoor choice starts with fit and the hockey you actually play. Bend, shape and construction should explain a useful difference, not create a good-better-best ladder.
Position, player level and carbon percentage can help describe a stick, but none of them automatically decides what suits you.
