Indoor Genesis CF5i (2023)
Indoor Genesis CF5i (2023)
2023 legacy indoor model. The Indoor Genesis CF5i remains a valid Mercian choice where the player's fit, Low bend and preference for a softer response match. It is previous-generation stock: price and remaining availability are purchase trade-offs, not reasons for suitability.
How it fits the Mercian indoor choice system
- Fit: 32-inch, 34-inch, 35-inch, 36.5-inch and 37.5-inch lengths.
- Bend: Low bend around 23.5mm/230mm.
- Response: Softer — prioritising touch, control and forgiveness for indoor play.
Construction and feel
Predominantly fibreglass construction with 5% carbon reinforcement, keeping the response softer while adding some stiffness and energy return. Carbon percentage describes construction and response; it is not a player-level score.
Trade-off: fit is especially useful here because of the broad size range; legacy price comes after suitability.

Check fit, shape and response before you buy.
Indoor choice is deliberately compact: make the length workable, choose the shape you need, then compare response and feel across the complete current indoor range.
A larger carbon number is not a player-level score. Compare the current indoor range first, then use price and stock to choose between suitable options.
