Evolution CKF55 (2023)
Evolution CKF55 (2023)
2023 legacy model. The Evolution CKF55 remains a valid Mercian choice where the player's fit, bend requirement and preference for a balanced response match. It is previous-generation stock: price and remaining availability are purchase trade-offs, not reasons for suitability.
How it fits the Mercian choice system
- Fit: 35-inch, 36.5-inch and 37.5-inch lengths were offered.
- Bend: Pro low bend at 24mm/230mm for the broader all-round route; an Xtreme variant was also offered for skills that justify specialist shape.
- Response: Balanced.
Construction and feel
55% carbon with a fibreglass skeleton, Kevlar reinforcement and vibration-control materials. The mixed construction combines usable energy return with more give than firmer high-carbon models. Carbon percentage is a construction fact, not a player-level score.
Trade-off: match the bend first, then compare legacy price and remaining size/bend availability with current alternatives.

OUTDOOR STICK GUIDANCE
Check the player requirement before you buy.
Outdoor choice starts with fit and the hockey you actually play. Bend, shape and construction should explain a useful difference, not create a good-better-best ladder.
Position, player level and carbon percentage can help describe a stick, but none of them automatically decides what suits you.
