Mercian Balanced / Direct Hockey Sticks
You’ve narrowed your choice to a balanced, more direct response.
These sticks sit towards the more responsive end of the Mercian range while retaining more balance than the most direct / powerful constructions. Every current Mercian outdoor player stick in this response group is shown below.
All current outdoor sticks matching this choice are included.
THE NEXT DISTINCTION
Which bend suits the hockey you play?
Pro is the broad all-round route. Ultimate V2 is the specialist low-bow route for drag flicking, aerials, lifting and 3D play. Xtreme prioritises reverse-stick play, lifting and close 3D handling. DSH adds a concave face for specialist flicking, aerial and ball-cupping work.

KEEP THE TRADE-OFF HONEST
These are suitable options, not a ranking.
Use the remaining distinction above to understand what genuinely changes. If two or three still look right after that, compare the individual models and their valid generations, then bring in price, availability and personal preference.
2023 legacy alternatives
Same suitability test. Another price point.
These previous-generation sticks appear only where the same fit, bend and response logic says they are suitable, and only while they are published to the Online Store. Price comes after suitability.
2021 legacy alternatives
Same suitability test. Previous-generation choice.
These 2021 sticks are subordinate previous-generation choices. They appear only where the governed fit, bend and response logic says they are suitable, and only when a qualifying option is available online.
